Thank you for having me on for the debut episode of this. I mean, obviously, as your international correspondent, it would be remiss of me not to be here. Yeah, it would have been silly if I didn't have you on this, because you know so much about everything we're talking about because you're not from the United States. So absolutely. And definitely not learned about most of these stories in the email that you sent me with the stories in. Of course not. I was way across all of this. Yeah, obviously.

Yeah, that's what I count on you to keep yourself abreast of international news and things.

And I do keep myself abreast, if you know what I mean.

So we're going to talk about a few different stories this week.

Sometimes we'll do, you know, just one story like we used to on the What in the World podcast.

But it's been so long since we've talked about international news. We actually have every news story that's happening on the world stage in these notes.

There's only like the seven or eight. And then everything else that's happening is in the

United States, obviously. Yeah. I'm actually genuinely surprised considering the show's been

on ice for so long that we weren't just going to start where we, where you left off back in, I don't know, 2018,

and we'll just do all the news from then. Yeah, 2018, something like that. Yeah, we'll catch

everybody up. So let's skip the recap. Let's start 2018. What's happening out in 2018?

Well, for starters, a little after 2018, French president Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, filed a defamation lawsuit in Delaware Superior Court against podcaster slash right-wing fuckface, Candice Owens.
