with me to the book of Luke 22. Luke 22, go to verse 7, and let me kind of paint the picture

and give you this scene before we do our reading. This is Jesus who's at the age of 33 years.

And what's amazing about this time is the Gospels, the four books about Jesus, Matthew, Mark,

Luke, and John are 89 chapters in total. Of the 89 chapters in the four Gospels, 85 of them

are about his last three years on earth. And of the 85, 29 are dedicated strictly to this week, passion week. Jesus has done his three years

of ministry and he is entering into the city of Jerusalem. It's actually where they're about to

throw down their palm branches. He will come in on a donkey and they will shout, Hosanna, blessed is he that comes in the name of the

Lord. Jesus is getting ready to go to the cross. This is his greatest burden and this is his

greatest blessing. In fact, he weeps over the city because he knows there's a burden of what he has to fulfill and what the

father has asked him to do, which is lay down his life and die for the sins of the world.

But it's his greatest blessing because he knows through this death and his resurrection,

he will purchase back.

He will reconcile all of humanity back to the Father. So Jesus is getting his

things in order. This is the last supper that he eats with his disciples, his crew. Watch what it

says here in Luke chapter 22, going into Passion Week. I thought it was fitting. We looked at these

scriptures. It says, then they came the day

of unleavened bread when the Passover must be killed. And he sent Peter and John saying,

go and prepare the Passover for us that we may eat. So they said to him, where do you want us to

prepare? And he said to them, behold, when you have entered the

city, a man will meet you carrying a picture of water, follow him into the house, which he enters,

and then you shall say to the master of the house, the teacher says to you, where, I love this part,

where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples,
