Most other countries carefully circumscribe who can own housing in their countries and under what circumstances.

So right now if a Chinese billionaire wants to park a billion dollars in America as a safe investment,

they can just buy a couple thousand single-family homes and leave them empty.

We have 14 million empty homes in America right now. We have 700,000 homeless people.
