Discretion is advised. I'm Vinny Polyton, the subject of my investigation, the death of 13-year-old Madeline Soto, who endured years of alleged sex abuse, some of it captured on camera. it's a story about a little girl who was let down by those who should have protected her here's the story

13 year old Madeline Soto was murdered in February of 2024 in Casimmy, Florida.

She was reported missing after failing to show up at school, sparking a frantic search.

Five days later, her body was found in a remote area of Osceola County.

The medical examiner determined she had been strangled.

Authorities arrested Stefan Stearns, the boyfriend of Madeline's mother, Jen Soto.

He was charged with first-degree murder, capital sexual battery, and possession of child sexual abuse material.

Investigators revealed that Stearns had been allegedly abusing Madeline for years.

Stearns is now currently awaiting two trials, the first for the alleged sexual abuse of Madeline,

and a second trial for her murder where he is facing the death penalty.

Madeline's mom who allowed her daughter to sleep alone with Stearns in his bedroom has not been charged with anything and may be a crucial witness for prosecutors.

From the beginning of our coverage of this story, which began as a mystery, became an investigation, and now is moving towards

trial, a lot of the focus and discussion outside of the courthouse, outside of the courtroom,

has been about Madeline Soto's mother, Jen Soto. And in this hour, that's going to be our focus.
