I'm Albert Mowle, your host and president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville,

Kentucky.

Osganis completed his undergraduate degree at the University of London

and his doctor of philosophy in the Social Sciences from

Oxford University. Since coming to the United States in 1984 he has been a

guest scholar at the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Studies,

guest scholar in visiting fellow at the Brookings Institution,

and he has served as Executive Director

of the Williamsburg Charter Foundation.

Later he served as founder and senior fellow

of the Trinity Forum, also as Senior Fellow at the East West Institute

in New York City.

He is the author or editor of over 30 books.

His latest work is, A Free People Suicide, Sustainable Freedom, and the American Future.

Ours, in terms of your new book, free people's suicide sustainable freedom in the

American future why this book why now well it could have come out anytime really in

the last 10 years but I think freedom is the central issue of today because many of the chaotic things

are happy in this country are because of an excessive libertarian freedom.

And I think also there's a huge amount of talk about sustainability, but no one asks about sustainable freedom.

So it's a very, very important issue. It's a sort of issue behind a lot of the other issues,
