and then kick us into the,

you know, just go ahead and get us into the topic of the day

because it's your show.

I'm Glenn Sunshine,

I'm a professor emeritus of history at Central Connecticut State University.

I am a senior fellow at the Colson Center for Christian World View, work for

Reflections Ministries, and I've got my own ministry every

square inch ministries, esquare inch.org. Now we're doing this, we're recording this actually as Hurricane Milton is barre

on Florida and in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, and there's a lot of reports coming out of

what's been going on in Appalachia, particularly with respect to the government.

And whether or not all these reports are accurate, there were some that I saw that I think

merit a certain amount of comment, particularly in the village of Chimney Rock, which was completely destroyed by the floods caused

by the hurricane. There are reports that the government has simply declared ownership of all of the land there,

and that they're just planning basically on bulldozing it and not even allowing people to come

in to recover or even identify the bodies there.
