Hey, everybody, welcome to another episode of Purple Insider, the first episode where we get to talk about a real football game and what a football game it was.

I'm back in the home studio after kind of a long 24 hours, let's say.

I think I've maybe logged about two and a half hours of sleep,

but you know what?

There's never enough football to talk.

So I am here.

First hour of the show, your guys' reactions to what happened last night. Of course,

the postgame podcast aired very, very late in central time. So I haven't had a chance to have a chat

with you guys and get your reactions and questions and thoughts coming out of the Vikings victory

over the Chicago Bears. And then at about 7.30 tonight, Jeremiah Searle will join the show,

former Minnesota Viking, and we break down a lot of the PFF grades, the offensive line grades,

and get his thoughts on what J.J. McCarthy did in his debut, as well as look forward a little bit as well. So the

Fandul question of the day is, did anything that happened last night change your expectation?

And kind of to put it in gambling terms, would you move your line? So all of us go into the season

with a line in our own heads,

right, where Vegas sets the line based on how a lot of people are viewing different teams

and where the money is going. And we all do it different ways. I've told you my process before

where it's kind of a hybrid of expectations and how good I think

they'll actually be and I meld them together to come up with 11 wins, which is where I started

this thing back when I moved it from 10 to 11 after McCarthy looked good in mini camp.

I haven't changed it.
