I am too, Carol. Thank you for having me on your show and giving me this opportunity to give

your listeners a little tutorial, a run through of what nightmares are and why we have them.

And what most people want to know when they're having nightmares is what they can do about it to make

them stuff.

Can we dive into a little bit of your history and how you got interested in this line of

work and studying dreams, analyzing dreams,

writing about dreams. Yeah, you want to know your expert, right? Exactly. I do. Who's,

who's this guy, you know, and why does anyone think he knows anything more than anyone else about

dreams and nightmares? Well, I got into it about 30 years ago when I was in my early 20s and I was in college.

I was studying something other than, you know, dreams in psychology.

I was in political science and journalism.

And I had a career path ahead of me as a journalist.
