Welcome back to Sociology 101. We are going through a response to

Dr. James White in his critique of traditionalism. And so let's just dive right in where we've left off

before and listen to Dr. White. He just is reading an article by Ronnie Rogers, who is a traditionalist,

Southern Baptist traditionalist.

It's a non-Calvinistic, it's not full-Arminianism, but it is a view that is widely accepted within

Southern Baptist circles. And Dr. White is not known to have done a very good job in representing

traditionalism in a way that a traditionalist would appreciate or accept in most situations.

And so it's one of the reasons I'm doing this is that people who are actually interested in not just being Kool-A drinkers and listening to someone like White and just saying, well, you know, as an opponent, he must be representing it rightly.

But instead, they're going to be intellectually honest enough to try to actually learn from those

who hold to the position for themselves and be educated, not just stay in the echo chamber of

their own worldview to where they're never really challenged to go deeper.

And so I, I, let's just dive in.

Calvinism's decreal theology and commitment to compatibilism create a host of conundrums

that result in Calvinist frequent visits to the storehouse of mysteries.

That's really nice.

No one has ever heard me answer an objection to the relationship of God's sovereignty and man's

will by appealing to mystery, not once.
