I want to, before we dive into maybe the players and the profiles and what we might require,

what are the key differences, I guess, in terms of how Bournem of midfield has operated in recent times.

What does an aureola midfielder need to have?

Yeah, above all anticipation, I think.

As I mentioned before, where they kind of picking their moments to press forward.

I think out of possession, I think that's really, really important.

It's kind of what the whole system hinges upon, really. Because if they make a wrong decision and they press too early and players don't back them up, it's so easy to play through them because you're leaving spaces, you're leaving players marked. If they don't make that decision and they aren't aggressive enough, then the system becomes a little bit too passive and it can be played through. So I think it's important that they have a player who, I mean, you mentioned Lewis Cook, Ryan Christie.

They were both kind of really, I think over the, since Ryan Christie made his debut in that position,

it was against Newcastle.

He's made more defensive recoveries than any other player in the Premier League per 90 minutes.

So like you need somebody who is going to cover ground.

You need somebody who's going to nip in and kind of sends his moments to win the ball.

But also, again, with the ball, I think, as I mentioned, Alex Scott has kind of struck a balance there

because he is that kind of aggressive out of out of possession player, but he also has a lot more

kind of control.

He can carry the ball forward. I think that's also very important for a new Iola midfielder

because they want to, you know, against man-to-man systems, when you have these chaotic games,

you need somebody who's going to be able to beat a man and to kind of make the most of the space
