Hey there from CNN. I'm David Rind with the five things you need to know for Wednesday,

December 17th. President Donald Trump is said to address the nation from the White House tonight.

White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt says the speech will be about the quote, historic accomplishments the administration has achieved this year.

And it does seem like the public may need some reminding, though.

A series of recent polls show that only around one in five Americans say they strongly approve of Trump's presidency.

Here is CNN's Jeff Seleney.

Tonight is a 15-minute scripted address, likely, from the Oval Office.

So he'll talk more about the economy.

The question is, are people going to feel some of these changes?

Are his policies actually going to do anything to bring about lower prices, lowering inflation?

That's very much an open question here.
