Today's podcast we are talking hoops one hour strong with Brian Windhorse trying to figure out the west who can be the guys at the end of the year with the trophy and the bill Russell trophy as well some trade

speculation which I think is important as we get closer to the rumor season and who's the next mad star I don't know if we can come up with one I haven't opened up my comparisons why is it okay for all of us to talk about jaylen hurts but not him I'll try to figure out why that is the case life advice and our fandual contest rolls on I want to start today's podcast by talking about my comparisons and something he said about jaylen hurt to basically he had said on a podcast with Von Miller the Von cast

he said and I'm paraphrasing here you know is it really hurts is it is it hurts or is it the team now there's a reason I wanted to do this because the way my job will work in the way I think about doing these opens is I'll see something kind of happen and then all the sudden like especially in this case you'll be like the main guy everybody's talking about on Twitter for a day or two and then everybody's pistachio and then I'm thinking like oh man I can't believe he said that now knowing that this podcast is like all in on jaylen hurts on top everything else sorry took so long

but I'm thinking like okay let me think back to all the micaparcin stuff and now I'm gonna build my open around this because I can't believe he said this just like everybody else right now was mad for you I was mad for jaylen hurts I was mad for eagle spans and I had it all mapped out analogies I was ready to go and I want to remind you of the of the parsons MVP time because I even brought it up here on this podcast right

I had talked about it because I'd love to figure out a way to get a non quarterback to win the MVP award the same way I'd like a non quarterback to win the

high's been but it's the most important position in all of sports so it's just really hard to not win it if Aaron Donald never won it an interior defensive line

and are even a bigger disadvantage than edge guys because it's just sexier to watch guys on the edge than it is to watch a guy destroy the line of

the middle if Donald can't ever win one I don't know if anybody's ever going to win one of the defensive side of the ball again right it would have to also be how bad is the rest of the

quarterback class that year is it really down quarterback year because that's the other part of this now whenever we talk NBA MVP one of my least favorite mechanisms in that discussion will be hey here the two or three guys that are

probably going to win it and then somebody's great for a couple weeks like tomorrow to rosin last season who was unbelievable for those two weeks game winners all over the

course and then it's like how come he's not in the conversation you're like cool what do you want me to do mention a more and then say he's definitely not winning okay cool you win we did it so

Parsons when I brought it up I think was Peter Shrager and people started bringing up a little bit more then Parsons actually tweeted about it like basically paraphrasing why does it always have to be a QB and then I thought to myself okay is he pulling kind of an MVP thing with the NBA or even better the defensive player the year

stuff like the crying that went on from players about not winning defensive player the year in the NBA was kind of embarrassing I love bam would have voted for

him but he missed a bunch of games and for whatever reason he can't seem to figure that out and be had one post game press or where it was almost like he was breaking down

suggesting like the world was out to get him everything crumbling around him just because he wasn't the favorite to win the MVP because

I voted for Yoke I thought it was really really close I think he honest could have won one if you had one one already last year that's how good he was but

voters can get they get bored sometimes right they want to pick the new guy I'll try to never do that and that could possibly have

on the defensive player so then I started thinking like oh wait so Parsons and some shit about hurts and he's already kind of doing a low key

campaign for like how come I can't win it and so I'm ready to go I had my open ready like I said analogies comps I was going to lay into my

comparisons a little bit and then I had this mind blowing idea sit down for this one it's pretty rare concept I was like you know what I'm

listening to what he said before I talk about I know it's fucking crazy right let me hear what he actually said and I try to always do this

okay I for the most part I will especially if I'm going to craft an entire open on something you're like if I'm going to spend
