Hello, this is Matt Brin from the Explorers Podcast.

I'm doing this simple welcome spot because of some recent publicity about the show

that has led to a lot of new people checking out the podcast.

So if you're already a listener of the show, you can probably just skip this

unless you miss this out of my voice.

Otherwise, I just want to take a minute to tell people about the show.

The Explorers Podcast began about seven years ago.

Our topic is about explorers.

This includes famous and not-so-famous explorers from throughout history

and from all over the world.

We've got stories stretching all the way back to ancient Carthage

to modern day still live and breathing explorers and adventures.

The podcast started as a simple fun project for myself.

It allowed me to dive into a subject that I felt was underserved

and something that I loved.

The show to me is about these great stories.

There's no idle chitchat or neither spender with a co-host.

It's just you, me, and our explorer.

For the first five years of the podcast, I did the show myself.

I research, wrote, recorded, edited, published, and marketed the podcast.
