I am a professor of communication in real life, and I'm also a big fan,

of course, of sister wives, but I'm also really grateful that you are accompanying me through

our trip to Plathville today. Thank you so much for doing that. There's been a lot going on

in the reality TV world and the world of the Browns, but we're going to switch gears at least for a little bit here and look at Welcome to Plathville, season

two, episode five, titled, Friend or Boyfriend.

So we start actually with some phone footage that Micah Plath is taking of his sister,

Moriah. She's in her room, and she's planning on asking her mother via text

on her phone if she can bring Max over to meet the family. She says she's talking about a friend.

Micah figures it out, though, because Micah's a smart guy. Mariah reminds us, too,

helpfully, that this whole bringing Max over to the Plath family home thing was Max's request.

It was not necessarily Mariah's idea.

And Micah even zooms in on Mariah's phone, which shows the blank text screen.

Very symbolic that Mariah does not know how to begin this conversation.

And she is scared.

She admits that she's terrified.

She says she's only ever brought one girlfriend over to the house, which she says,

her friend told her it didn't really go well.

After the fact, I wish we had gotten more detail about this.

I mean, think about the enormity of being pretty you know, pretty much a grown adult at this point.
