Welcome to Lifespan with Dr. David Sinclair. Dr. David Sinclair is a professor of genetics and co-director of Harvard Medical School's Paul F. Glenn Center for Biology of Aging Research. Season 1 will be 8 episodes in total and will launch on Wednesday, January 5, 2022. New episodes will be released every Wednesday morning of both January and February 2022. Upcoming episodes will cover: why aging is a disease, the impact of dietary choices, fasting and exercise on aging, how various supplements and prescription drugs can protect against aging, why cosmetic aging occurs and how to combat it, the benefits and advancements of biotracking, and the future of age reversal. 0:19.0	A few years ago I decided to write a book about why we age and why we don't have to.
0:24.0	I loved every minute of the process of writing lifespan,
0:27.0	but one of the things I learned along the way is that it's hard to pack everything you want to say into one book,
0:32.0	especially given how fast the science is moving right now.
0:35.0	The other thing I learned is that I really enjoyed the experience of working with my co-author Matthew Lapland
0:41.0	to explain the science to our readers.
0:43.0	The conversations that Matthew and I had were lots of fun.
0:46.0	We laughed a lot, we argued a bit, but we'd always walk away feeling a little smarter than we did before.
0:53.0	Over the course of this podcast series, Matthew and I are reconnecting to keep you up to date
