Hello, everybody. I'm Colin Murray and this is your invitation to subscribe to what I would like to call my little baby

It's a podcast called Blood on the Tracks a passion project will be another thing to call it

I'm so excited about it. We did four episodes for BBC Radio 2 as a pilot and then it was commissioned

By BBC signs for a full run of ten and it follows a very simple premise as a music nut

I don't stroke my chin

I don't I'm not embarrassed about any record in my collection. It doesn't matter whether it's Miles Davis or it's Katie Perry

And I believe music unites people together as much as football will unite you with any taxi driver

And I wanted to pull together most more times than not four perfect strangers into a room through at them

various musical scenarios and ask them to use their record collection

to answer them and

Therefore bring them together to see what connection you could make and more often than not

Four people that didn't know each other leave the studio and are and are and a half later almost as perfect friends

That's what blood in the tracks is all about

We're really excited about it because in the podcast world

It's quite hard to get music right because you only like to play so much

So it's been quite a long time coming to get right we get ten episodes three at the one time coming up very shortly

And then one every week up until Christmas or just over Christmas

And the guest list is

So varied from politicians to songwriters from authors to pop stars

comedians to journalists that really was

Intentionally as varied as we could be in terms of ages in terms of backgrounds

And music being the one thing that would bring everyone together
