about the college protests and the overreaction to them and how it's going to lead to bad places, including defunding colleges and the like.

So we'll get into that a little bit later.

First, some fun news.

The DEA is moving to reclassify marijuana as not a Schedule 1 narcotic, which is a long time coming.

Yeah.

We've, you know, if you see those famous photos of like world leaders surrendering to conquering countries. It's like we've done it with drugs, baby. Drugs have won the war on drugs. Yeah, drugs have officially won the war on drugs. Yeah, it's one of those things that's like, I feel like, you know, we could have called that a long time ago, but, you know, people are slow to accept it.

So, uh, you still have to go through, be approved by the White House Office of Management and Budget. So, uh, Joe Biden can still put a stop to it, I guess if he wanted to. You know, he probably still calls it the devil's lettuce. He probably does, but I'll be so goddamn furious if he did.

But I mean, he ain't going to do that.

But like, this is one of those things, which it's like, why, why has this taken this long? Is it just like, is it lobbyist? Is it the glacial pace of governance or whatever? It's like, I'm, because even if, like, without even, because look, dude, I smoke weed and lose my mind. I get so scared, so terrified, I commune with the void.

It gives me, I don't enjoy it, but I recognize that for a lot of people that don't happen and it's, I do also, I don't enjoy it, but I also think that it's harmless.

And like, I don't understand after so many states of, you know, legalizing everything, all these years later, everything that's happened, all the discourse, like why it took for 2024, until 2024 to this to happen. Because this still isn't making it legal.

This is just the DEA not classifying it alongside like cocaine cocaine heroin all the most hardcore drugs that

exist which like that shit should have happened 20 years ago you know yeah i mean you can go a lot

of ways with it you could go like the uh uh you want to one cops like like having the leverage

of being able to throw people in prison for a long time for having

and it's like leverage other you know leverage you take lesser pleas or whatever there's also the

thing where uh the other point is like why do we call it marijuana when there are english words for
