| 0:00.0 | Hello, hello, side hustle school listeners, friends and community. Welcome to the first weekly recap of season two. |
| 0:16.0 | My name is Chris Gellipo. I'm so excited to get 2018 underway. I want to welcome all the new listeners who've been joining us from the Apple Podcast feature or from anywhere else. |
| 0:26.0 | And of course I want to welcome back all of our 2017 season one listeners. Like I told you at the end of last year, which was last week, isn't that crazy? |
| 0:35.0 | We have got some big things planned for 2018. Now just to restate or reframe the vision of this show for everyone who's new, this is a daily podcast every single day, seven days a week. |
| 0:45.0 | It's very different from every other podcast. We have a single minded focus. That focus is to help you create a new source of income without quitting your job. |
| 0:54.0 | I call this a side hustle. It's a project you create to earn money apart from your day job, whether you hate your job and you're trying to make a big change or you love your job and have no plans to leave. |
| 1:04.0 | I firmly believe that everyone should have more than one source of income. That's what it's all about creating more freedom for yourself, more options so that you can do what matters to you. |
| 1:12.0 | And my mission, like what I work on every single day, is to help you make this a reality in your life. |
| 1:17.0 | And I'd love to see that happen this year. As we are just kicking off this new season, I want to read some comments to you from Ryan Grant. |
| 1:25.0 | He was our featured case study in episode 367, our second day of the new season. And Ryan had this incredible story about learning how to buy and resell items from Walmart and Home Depot, other big box stores like that. |
| 1:38.0 | And he actually ended up making hundreds of thousands of dollars doing it. Pretty amazing. |
| 1:42.0 | He actually did go on to quit his job. And here's something he said that I really liked we didn't put it in the episode, but I want to highlight it for you here. |
| 1:49.0 | He said when making the decision to quit my full-time job, the main factors were I knew I would regret it if I didn't take the chance. |
| 1:56.0 | And I wasn't fully happy at the position I was working. I felt like I was just existing as opposed to being in control of my life. |
| 2:03.0 | So that's why I quit my job as an accountant to pursue reselling online full-time. I walked out of the office on that day with a big smile on my face and I've never looked back. |
| 2:12.0 | So listen, for you over there, it's not that you have to quit your job. We have lots of listeners who are very happy working for the right company, the right organization, or they're just in a situation in their lives where quitting your job is not practical. |
| 2:23.0 | I totally understand that. Just like Ryan says, I don't think you should just exist. You should be in control of your life. No one else should be deciding your future. |
| 2:30.0 | So however you've arrived at this shared space, this daily show where every single day you hear about people taking control of their lives in one way or another, I want you to ask yourself, what will you regret? |
| 2:40.0 | If you don't take the chance. And if starting a side hustle is part of the answer, well, let's make it happen this year. That's my commitment to you. |
| 2:47.0 | I'm going to be here every day and I want to make sure side hustle school is doing everything we can for you. |
| 2:59.0 | I want to play for you a listener comment and a listener question that came in through the hustle hotline, which by the way you're welcome to call in at any point and leave a message. |
| 3:07.0 | It's 8449 hustle or 8449487853. But for speaking of support, I want to tell you about side hustle society. |
