Hi there and welcome to the Rotta Wire Fantasy Baseball podcast. Today is Sunday, September 24th.

My name is Chris Crawford. I am joined by my good buddy Ryan Boyer. We're going to be talking about the latest headlines. We'll do our three up and

three down as well. But let's talk about some players who, unfortunately, Ryan, are not going to be

playing baseball anymore. And we're going to start with a pretty obvious one. Mike Trout is not going to be returning for the rest of the 2020 season.

I think this is something that can't surprise anybody, but I still think it's pretty

noteworthy, Ryan, just because it's Mike Trout.

Yeah, unfortunately, it seemed like kind of a, kind of a foregone conclusion. He had that

hamate bone surgery. It's been a while ago. Tried to come back. I think he lasted one game

and then went back on the IL. Hadn't given up hope of returning, but he, I think he did some hitting and still wasn't

quite feeling 100% and plus the Angels obviously are out of it.

So at this point, no sense in rushing it.

He was moved over to the 60 day IL, officially ending his season.

Unfortunately, another injury shortened season for Mike Trout.

And at this point, since I think most people assume Joey Otani is moving on,

we're going to get a total of zero playoff appearances

for those two.
