Joined as always by Bruce Fuffman for our week four recap episode. Bruce on this podcast just a few days ago,

we were struggling to figure out how Michigan could beat USC. They did it. They did it,

they did it despite 32 passing yards.

Just an epic game that I thought and I wrote about in final thoughts was like,

okay, this is what the TV networks are paying all that money for.

Two huge brand name schools that it's still kind of surreal to me that they're in the same conference

playing this epic game that I'm sure we'll get, you know'll find out in a couple days got some bunkers TV rating.

Yeah, I mean I watched it on the flight home from Ohio State of all places and

you know I'm with you. What's what's fascinating to me about this and we'll obviously get into the U.S. seaside as

well is the guy who bailed out Michigan is a guy who bailed out Michigan is a guy who was a linebacker for much of his career in

in Ann Arbor and then when they had a lot of injuries in the running back room that switched over midweek,

right before that I think they played Ohio State in the game where Donovan Edwards, you know, went wild and had, you know,

whatever 200 yards rushing. But Kalel mowings has been like he put that program on his back because

USC's defense shut them down completely in the second half the only points were on the will

Johnson pick six. And I'm just sitting there like, you know, we have our own like big noon text chain and I'm sitting there thinking there's no way they're going to move the ball 70 yards the way they were going and he just

Not only he put the program on his back at one point he has a USC tackler on his back and shakes him off and then breaks his second long run.

I mean, you know, Donovan Edwards is the guy who's on the cover of the video game,

but the guy who's been the real star for them for the first month of the season has really saved the offense is a guy who's who didn't even have like you know hardly any rushing yards as a high school you know when he played high school

running back he was like a short yardage back and now you know he he's just

been fantastic because he's just such a physical back and I think he kind of epitomizes what I think Michigan still wants to be but they're just so one dimensional.

Yeah, they also, you know, I kind of threw out there when I was looking for the blueprint for this game that, you know,
