We've got tough calls for both week 18 and 22 right now on fantasy football today in 5.

0:10.4

What is up, fellas? Adam Azer and Dave Richard with a shout out to one of our most loyal listeners, Pat from Ohio.

0:17.3

And thank you everybody for being along for the journey. Here we are in week 18. We're going to talk about some tough calls. First, some quick news items here. Cincinnati and Cleveland, let's look at Cincinnati here. They're facing each other, right? But Cincinnati's got two defensive starters, two offensive linemen on the reserve COVID list. And Baker Mayfield's out. He's going to have shoulder surgery, so he's not playing. and the chiefs play on Saturday, they could, if they win,

that means the Bengals have no chance at the one seed. So could this be a game with a lot of backups, you think? I think it could, Adam. And welcome to the final week of the NFL regular season. There are going to be games like this every year. And this could absolutely be one of them. The issue in play is that if the Bengals really don't have anything to play for or to try for, they can't get that number one seed, they can't get the home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Why would they risk Joe Burrow, got his knee twisted up late last week, and now they're going to be without pass rusher, Trey Hendrickson, safety, Von Bell. They made the COVID list. They might be able to play. But who knows how they'll be if they missed practice all week long. Same thing with Quentin Spahn and Trey Hopkins, I believe it is, on the offensive line. So not the best situation for the Bengals, but luckily it's a week before a game that really doesn't matter to

1:28.5

them. We'll see what happens, but I don't think Jamar Chase is going to be able to come close to

1:33.3

do what he did last week. I don't know if he's even going to see the field. Yeah, and you had

1:39.3

Nick Chubb dealing with the ribs injury on Monday night, so. And De Ernest Johnson went on the COVID list for the Browns. So they might be in a little bit of a pickle when it comes to their run game. Okay. Meanwhile, Lamar Jackson could play this week. We will see fingers crossed. Hope he gets in there. The Ravens are still. I'm sorry. The Ravens are still alive? No. Yes. They are. Okay. They are absolutely still alive. Sorry about that. Based on life support and they need the Jaguars to somehow win, that's part of the equation. Well, Dave, the Jaguars have won six straight home games against the Colts. Six straight home games against the Colts. 222 tough calls.

2:18.3

We'll do that first.

2:19.0

Then we'll do a week 18 tough call.

2:20.3

How about Debo Samuel, top five wide receiver, six receiving touchdowns,

2:25.8

which is the most by a 49er in the Kyle Shanahan era, which isn't that many.

2:31.1

Got these rushing touchdowns.

2:32.3

I think he has four receiving touchdowns that are 40 or more yards. Something wild like that. Where'd you rank Debo? I ranked him as a top 12 receiver going into next year. I could imagine him having an expanded role on what he had last year. One of the things that you have to worry about is who his quarterback is. If it's going to be Trey Lance, does that mean that he's going to be a little bit more inconsistent for fantasy purposes? You can make the case for that, but is he going to be involved in the run game as well? And if he's going to be involved in the run game, then that can solidify his status as a must-start type of fantasy wide receiver. Okay, how about a 20, or how about a week 18 tough call? Let's talk about Dak Prescott going up against Philadelphia, and we don't know who Philadelphia is going to throw out there. I mean, that's one of the reasons why it's a tough call, but Dak on the road has really struggled this season, especially lately. And even though he did score 29 fantasy points last week, it wasn't exactly the easiest go of it.

3:26.1

What do you think about Dak this week?

3:28.3

I think he's startable.

3:29.3

I think the Cowboys do intend on playing their starters for at least a quarter and a half, maybe a half.

3:35.7

And if it's against Eagles backups, then they should be able to have their way with them.

3:39.4

I could see him being usable with 200 yards and a couple of touchdowns, something like that. I don't think it'll be a crazy explosive game. I don't think he'll play four quarters, but the upside is there for it. Mike McCarthy certainly made it sound like his players are going to play and they're going to try and win the game and build some momentum going into the playoffs. About that same game, if Kenneth Gainwell is the last man standing, how much would you like him?

4:01.0

I'd like him?

4:00.9

I'd like him a lot because he'd be the last man standing and theoretically would get a lot of work.

4:05.0

Now, the problem is that he'd be running behind a second string offensive line into what would probably be a first string cowboy's run defense for as long as the starters are playing.

4:16.2

So maybe by the second half, the game turns into a preseason game.
