0:47.8

As always, we'll have our big questions for the week.

0:51.1

And we hit week 12.

0:53.4

We are fully into week 12. So I know for a lot of leagues, just two more weeks of the regular season. There's this Sunday, and then there's week 13. And then we are into the fantasy playoffs. We've got a whole lot to talk about before we do any of that, though. We'll talk to our faithful producer senior Edward L. Murphy Esquire. And Murphy, we talked on Wednesday, you were trying your hand

1:12.3

at sweet potato pies, and I'm curious how they came out. Yep. Yep. Well, I hope you had a happy Thanksgiving,

1:18.2

and thanks for asking about the pies. So I'm excited to say, I think I did a pretty decent job. So now,

1:23.7

I did learn a little bit about baking with the brown sugar. It's more moist. So with the concoction in the pie, it probably was a little too mushy. So I have to add maybe some more flour. But in terms of the flavor, I mean, it's it's a lot better than my original recipe. And now I'm going to start doing a little bit of additions on top. Like what you said about the pecans, maybe some some like caramel drizzle, I think that's, that's probably the winner right there. But yeah, I'm pretty proud of it. I may just continue baking, you know, we're heading into winter. I may just start doing like cookies and stuff now, too. Why not, right? Absolutely. You know, if there's one thing that I picked up, I mean, you know, this pandemic has changed all of us in a lot of ways.

2:01.6

Baking is a thing I have done a little bit more of. So like, yeah, it's worth it. It's at least fun. I will say this. Baking versus, you know, just cooking other dishes, it does require for you to be a little bit more precise. You know, when you're just cooking other things, you can just sort of, you know, go by feel or by taste or what have you. Baking does require a little bit more precision, but I'm glad your pies are not. Otherwise, good Thanksgiving? Yeah, yeah. It was, you know, as good as it could be this year, obviously, but it was good. But you are 100% correct about that. I almost, I may start bothering you now about your exact recipe with your brain to the pies because, because I did notice like me, just kind of like my cooking brain, like, oh, just add a little bit of this, a little bit of that. It doesn't, it doesn't work when you're baking. Baking is literally just following instructions. You know, you live and you learn. So my trial run was not so bad,

2:50.9

but I will improve. Yeah, absolutely. Everybody needs reps. Just need reps to get better. That's all.

2:57.7

All right. We appreciate that and glad everything worked out for you. Let's now bring in our pal Michael

3:02.9

F. Florio, who joins us every week on Fridays. And Mike, I trust you had a good Thanksgiving as well.

3:10.2

I did. My fiancé is a great cook. I helped her, but she was, I was a sous chef. She was the lead.

3:17.3

And we cooked turkey and ham and a whole bunch of sides and desserts. I want to try Eddie's baking.
