Hello, everybody. I'm John Fawsell with this Great America Show, Midday Update for Wednesday, June 25th. Happy Wednesday, folks. President Trump wrapping up a historic and monumental win as he departs the Hague in the Netherlands. President Trump is now en route to the United States. President Trump hailed his historic trip for the United States for Europe and Western civilization as the NATO alliance has agreed to his

demand to equalize the burden of common defense with a 5% GDP floor on military spending for

all of its members. Folks, this is massive. Some countries contributing 1%, a half percent, nobody meeting what the United States does

and what the United States contributes.

President Trump, before wrapping up sort of an interesting trip, NATO chief Mark Rout,

referring to President Trump as the daddy of NATO.

Take a listen to President Trump when he was asked about the NATO chief,

referring to him as daddy. Mark Rutter, the NATO chief, who is your friend, he called you

daddy earlier. Do you regard your NATO allies as kind of children? No, he likes me. I think he likes me. If he doesn't, I'll let you know. I'll come back and I'll hit him hard, okay? He did. He did it very affectionate. Daddy, you're my daddy. Do you regard your NATO allies, though, as kind of like children, and they're obviously listening to you, and they're spending more, and you're obviously appreciative of that.

But do you hope that actually they're going to be able to defend themselves, defend Europe on their own?

I think they need help a little bit at the beginning and I think they'll be able to and I think they're going to remember this day.

And this is a big day for NETO. You know, this was a very big day. They took it.

One of the gentlemen said, you know what? We've been trying to raise money for, raise the rate,

for 30 years, he said, 20 years from almost the beginning. And he's been there for a long time.

He said, until you came along, it never happened. What you did is is amazing it's been sort of an amazing day

for a lot of reasons but also for that yeah go ahead you think they can do it without you

though in the future can they do it with well ask mark late i mean you have to ask mark

president trump absolutely brilliant as you can tell people a little nervous if the united

states does decide to leave NATO.

A lot of nations in Europe and around the world,

you know, we kind of left high and dry.

So President Trump making an incumbent upon these people to pay their fair share,
