Do you remember a few months ago when state Democratic lawmakers from Texas literally fled

the state so they wouldn't have to vote on an extreme voter suppression law?

Well, all good things must come to an end, and even after their emergency trip to DC,

Governor Greg Abbott signed the bill into law yesterday.

The bill will ban 24-hour drive-through voting, allows more access for parts in poll watchers,

and imposes new criminal penalties for violating voting laws.

I mean, you gotta give the Democrats credit for trying, because it doesn't seem like many

people in Congress are.

Last night we had some late-breaking news when Britney Spears' father and conservator

Jamie Spears unexpectedly filed a petition to end the 13-year conservatorship.

In the filing, he cited her pleas at two hearings over the summer that it end, and said that

recent events called into question whether grounds for the conservatorship still existed.

The story is developing, and the next hearing for the case is currently set for September

29th.

Yesterday, President Biden visited sites of destruction in New York and New Jersey following

Hurricane Ida.
