Election Day was a sweep for Democrats across the country.

Mikey Cheryl won the governorship in New Jersey, as did Abigail Spanberger in Virginia,

where every single county swung in the Democrats' direction compared with the 2024 election.

Oh, how much can change in a year.

Democrats also won down-ballot races in Virginia,

with Gazala Hashmi-winning Governor and the controversial J. Jones

for Attorney General. Zoran Mandani will be the next mayor of New York City, while J. DeVance's

brother lost by a lot in the race for mayor of Cincinnati to re-elected Democrat Aptab

Perivol. Pennsylvania voted to keep three Democrats on the state Supreme Court for another term,

keeping a 5-2 left-leaning majority. California voters passed Prop 50 to redistrict the state Supreme Court for another term, keeping a five-two left-leaning majority.

California voters passed Prop 50 to redistrict the state's congressional map to give Democrats

another five potential left-leaning House seats in the 26 midterms to counter the Trump-mandated

redistrictings in Texas and Missouri. In Georgia, Democrats Alicia Johnson and Peter Hubbard won

special elections for the state's utility regulator, the Public Service Commission, which is notable because it's the first time Democrats will control the commission in over two decades.
