Hey there, friends. Welcome back in Matthew chapter 10. Seems like we've been here for a while,

and we have, but it's a really good chapter to have lingered in because we're looking at the

instructions that Jesus gave to his disciples, his apostles,

as they went on their first missionary trip. Can you think about your first missionary trip?

I don't know if I can remember my first missionary trip, but I remember my first missionary trip

to a third world country years ago when I went to India

and my mind was just blown by the culture, by the poverty, by the need for the gospel,

by the grip of Satan with religion upon people. It was just life-changing. And I would encourage

everybody who has never been on a mission trip where you just had to go out there by faith

and swallow your pride and say no to your fear and just go out. I would encourage you to do that.

And these disciples came back from this mission strip

with such excitement about what God had done. Think about all the things we've talked about,

all the potential problems and all of the things that you could naturally be afraid of. And yet

when they came back from this trip, there was nothing of that. They just talked about,

wow, it was amazing what God did through us. So we are in Matthew 10. And let me get there
