Hello, friends, and welcome back to today's episode of Everyday Truth

as we continue our study in the book of Ephesians.

We're in Ephesians chapter 4 today,

and we're in a section which some commentators have struggled about what exactly it means.

I'll tell you what I think today.

And I think it's a great truth. And we're going to move into a section that is very, very familiar to me.

And a section that we have shared with our church many, many times.

Because I believe the middle section of Ephesians chapter number

four is just absolutely essential for believers to understand when it comes to their own local church

and how a local church ought to operate. In fact, I call the lesson that I give to our church family

from the middle section of Ephesians chapter four,

I call it the marks of a model church.

I mean, if we could look at an ideal church

and how it functions, what would it look like?

And I think Ephesian chapter 4, these middle verses,

help us to answer that question. But for now, let's jump into Ephesians 4 and verse number

eight, or verse number seven. We've been talking about the unity of the spirit and how we guard that and what that unity entails.
