Hey, friends, welcome back. We are in Matthew chapter 9 today. And as I said,

I think yesterday, I'm just loving the narrative section of Matthew. There's something about

stories that we all resonate with. And Jesus, of course, was the master storyteller. And the Bible is full of episodes like these, real people that had real problems that met a real

savior and received real solutions.

And that's what we need, isn't it?

And we learned a bit yesterday about that man that was let down through the roof of the house

and how Jesus did for him the most important thing, which was to forgive his sins.

And then as an illustration of that, healed him.

And I just love stories like that in the Bible.

We've got another great one today.

And it's not a miracle story from the

standpoint of a physical miracle, but it's nonetheless the changing of a life. Look at verse number nine.

And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man named Matthew. Now, why is that special? That's special because Matthew is the one

that's writing this gospel. So what's happening is Matthew is telling his own story here in Matthew

chapter number nine. He's telling his story from a third person perspective.

And I just can't even imagine the kind of joy that Matthew felt as he talked about this

life-changing moment in his own life. It says here in verse number nine, and as Jesus passed forth from that,
