Hey, friends, welcome back to my hotel room here in Nkansawan, Thailand. And we are in Psalm 35,

as you well know by now. And we're finishing today this psalm, this imprecatory

Psalm, David is being maligned by his enemy. And the persecution that he's facing in Psalm 35,

yes, there are certainly segments of this Psalm where it indicates that David is, his

physical life is in danger, but so much of what he describes as persecution is their deceptiveness

and their mockery and their hypocrisy.

And I think as, at least as American Christians, those are kind of the things that we deal with more often.

We don't deal with so much physical persecution as much as maybe Christians do in other places in the world, ironically, even here

in Thailand. But we do face sometimes the kind of persecution of mockery and isolation and

those kinds of things. And David speaks of some of those things even today. So look at Psalm 35 and verse

number 15 where David says, in mine adversity, they rejoiced. So in what my trouble that I was going
