We should never have a passive view about sin. It's not enough just to say, well, I don't do that

either publicly or privately, but we have an obligation as believers to expose sin, to shine light on sin,

so that not only are we helped, but also those that look to us for influence.

But we're in Ephesians chapter five. I have a postcard I want to show you. This is from

our friend Kurt Ortler. Kurt, you've got a great first name. You spell it wrong. It's C-U-R-T. It ought to be K-U-R-T, but it's a great

first name nonetheless. And Kurt's been listening to the podcast now for four years. I really appreciate

that. Lives out in the North Great Northwest, and he wakes up to this view every day. Look at this, Puget Sound,

and this is Mount Rainier. It's been my privilege to see this very site, and it is awesome. So,

And I do appreciate each and every one of you. We're in this section of Ephesians 5 where

essentially the Apostle Paul is saying, this is who you are as a believer. You are a child of God. Imitate him. You are

saved by Jesus. Walk in the same kind of love that motivated him. Live for others.

Worship God. Don't exchange the grand blessing of living for God for cheap alternatives like fornication

or covetousness.

Don't run down that empty road.

Avoid even talking about risque things. Don't don't you used to be that way.
