My beloved brothers and sisters, firstly, this is a Friday.

It's the most important day of the week.

The only prayer that has been given so much of importance in the Quran

is this prayer that we're about to engage in.

In fact, the only day mentioned in the Quran is the Friday.

The verse I read just now, O you who believe, when the caller calls to prayer on a Friday,

then hasten towards the reminder and leave your buying

and selling your trade. And Allah Almighty wants us to come into the masjid and to listen to something

of relevance, something of importance, something that will rejuvenate us, reconnect us with reality, with Allah subhanahuata

and make us feel the compassion towards one another as an Ummma and at the same time reflect over our own

conditions and improve ourselves today I need to improve myself in a big way and every

one of us needs exactly the same we can never arrive at a situation where we think

that's it we're okay No matter who you are,

no matter what you've achieved. Allah, subhanahu at a. Allah has given importance to this reminder

to the degree that we're not allowed to talk to each other once the imam comes out. We're not

allowed to fiddle with anything that we have when the imam comes out, we're not allowed to fiddle with anything that we have

when the imam comes out. Some of the scholars actually say that the chutba is in place of the two

units of prayer that would have otherwise been prayed in Zohr Salah. In the Zohr or the the midday prayer you know there are four units in juma

there are two units some of the scholars say the other two units the chutba is in place of them

and if that is the case it would be very important for us to remain silent and to listen carefully

to what has been said and what is being said.
