Hi everyone, welcome to Add Home with Sally. I'm Sally Clarkson and I have the biggest

privilege in the world to be with so many friends from all over the world who join me every

week to listen to my stories, inspiration, biblical encouragement. And I am just so glad

that you're here today. Thanks so much for joining me.

Hello friends, good morning, good afternoon, good evening, whatever you're doing in your

part of the world. I am in the afternoon and I am, I have been studying this concept that

we're going to be going over today. And this is Sally Clarkson and we have been going

through a devotional that Clay wrote, Clay My Husband wrote called The 24 Family Ways.

And this is kind of one of those never ending devotional because we wanted to come up with

the most essential foundations of truth that we could share with our children, that we

could give them memory versus for character qualities to memorize and stories to tell

them so that they would be able to remember the principles that we wanted to give them

about choices, about God, about the Bible, about honoring all these different things that

hopefully many of you have been going through with me over the past months. And today we

are getting to the last one. And Clay and I felt that this one was essential in helping

our children understand really what it means to relate to God, to walk with God, to know

God. And so today, way number 24 is we always tell the truth and do not practice deceitfulness

of any kind. You know, this is such a very deeply important, profoundly important principle.

And I'm going to go ahead to tell you why as we go through this. But the character quality

that we want to train our children to is honesty, telling what I know is true without any

hint of deception or falsehood. And when our children were very little and when they

were growing up, we told them that it was very important for them always to be honest
