Hello everybody and welcome to the WDW Radio Show, your Walt Disney World Information Station.

I am your host, Lume Angelo, author of the Walt Disney World trivia books, the audio guides to Walt Disney World and publisher of Celebrations magazine.

An important part of our Disney vacations include not just the memories we return with, but sometimes the souvenirs, collectibles or gifts for others that we come home with as well.

Often times, the collectible, whether it be a small and simple as a pin to something more elaborate, is truly a work of art.

This week, I want to introduce you to one of the very talented artists that makes those souvenirs come to life.

He is Randy Noble from the Disney Design Group, and in addition to his work and contributions to special events such as Star Wars Weekends,

he's also the founder and father of one of the newest and largest Disney collecting crazes, Vinylmation.

We'll talk about his early work and inspiration, career at Disney, the Vinylmation craze, and he'll offer advice to those listening who dream their own dreams of working for Disney.

For many Disney enthusiasts, their Walt Disney World vacation doesn't begin or end when they arrive and then leave the parks, because for many, it begins with the planning at home, months in advance, and they're able to keep those memories going long after it's over with photos and videos of their own.

And in many cases, the souvenirs that they bring home, from single items to a new addition to a growing collection, Walt Disney World guests bring home a variety of gifts, wearables, collectibles, and artwork that serves as a constant reminder of their love of Disney.

And while we enjoy collecting, displaying, and sharing what we bring home, we often don't know about the incredibly talented people that bring those ideas to life.

And in my continuing mission to help you get to know some of the people behind the curtain that truly helped create the magic that we continue to enjoy now, and for many years to come, I wanted to bring you one of those people who names you may have heard, but maybe never had a chance to learn more about.

And he is a person who has literally helped to create a phenomenon for kids and adults alike, because if you've heard of Vinyl Nation, you probably know the name of my next guest.
