I recently attended the very first and very special D23 Community for Disney Fans,

tours of the Walt Disney Studios and Archives in Burbank, California.

True, once in a lifetime experience, I wanted to share with you some of the details of the tour,

what we saw and experienced in the studios and in the legendary Walt Disney Archives.

as we talk about not just the tour and overall experience, but D23 as a whole.

In March 2009, the Walt Disney Company made an unprecedented announcement that they would be forming D23,

the first official community for Disney Fans in the company's 85-year history.

As part of the fan experience, many elements were introduced that day,

including a print publication, merchandise, and the upcoming D23 Expo in September.
