and they'll do so on the debate stage in Philadelphia.

Thanks for starting it with us. And indeed, anticipation

is growing with just hours now until tonight's presidential debate between former

President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. The high-stakes showdown is scheduled

to begin at 9 p.m. Eastern in Philadelphia at the National Constitution Center.

This will be the first time the two have faced off on a debate stage against each other,

and it will also be the first time the two have ever met in person.

There will be no audience in the room, and both sides agreed to the rules

ahead of time, which include microphones only being on for the candidate whose turn it is to

speak, and then muted when the time belongs to the other candidate. Only the moderators will be

allowed to ask questions. Trump won a virtual coin toss

and will be given the final closing statement. Those closing statements will be two minutes

per candidate and there will be no opening statements. Each candidate will be given two minutes

to answer each question with then a two-minute rebuttal and an
