with us. And it is an extraordinarily busy news day and we'll begin here. A federal appeals court

has rejected Donald Trump's claim that he is immune from prosecution in his election

interference case. The three-judge panel of the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals

ruled unanimously yesterday that there was no basis for Trump to assert that former presidents

have blanket immunity from prosecution for any acts committed as president.

The 57-page ruling states that former President Trump is no longer the president and therefore

has become citizen Trump for the purposes of criminal prosecution.
