It's very troubling and it shouldn't happen.

And we need to avoid those kinds of empowering the extremes.

And when you meet with people, you empower.

You can have accidental meetings.

Things like that happened.

This was not an accidental meeting.

It was a set up dinner.

That's one of the few Republicans who have publicly condemned a dinner that Donald Trump had with Kanye West and a white supremacist.

Former president and current presidential candidate, Donald Trump, is now distancing himself

from a known white nationalist after hosting him for dinner at Marlago just last week. On Tuesday,

Trump welcomed anti-Semite Nicholas Fuentes to his Palm Beach estate. Also there, the rapper Kanye West, who has

recently faced backlash for a series of anti-Semitic comments of his own and a former Trump

campaign staffer. A source tells NBC news that Trump was, quote, very impressed with Fuentes,

who the former president now claims he did not know beforehand.

It was also reported that at one point, Trump proclaimed, quote, I really like this guy.

He gets me about Fuentes, a known Holocaust denier.

But the dinner was not completely amiable.

NBC News has since learned that Trump became angry when West asked the 2024 presidential candidate to serve as running mate for West's own newly announced presidential bid.
