And we're going to begin with yet another mass shooting in the United States of America.

Shots rang out just after 10 o'clock last night at a Walmart in the city of Chesapeake,

Virginia, located in the southeast corner of the state just outside of Norfolk.

Police confirm within the last hour that seven people are dead, including the gunman.

It's unclear at this moment if the gunman took his own life or if he was killed by responding officers. Police say victims are being treated at multiple

hospitals in the area. A spokesperson for the area's top trauma center told local reporters

that five patients were being treated there. The FBI was on the scene last night, and the ATF from Washington tweeted just after midnight

that its agents are also assisting in the investigation.

Meanwhile, the accused Colorado Springs nightclub shooter will be in court today.

The 22-year-old is facing five counts of first-degree murder and five counts of bias-motivated

crimes.

In court filings yesterday, defense attorney stated that Anderson Lee Aldridge is non-binary and uses the they-them pronouns.
