We are living through many of the major prophecies foretold to occur

just prior to the second coming of Jesus Christ and the Battle of Armageddon.

First Thessalonians 5 tells us that that day will not overtake us as a thief.

So watch and be sober.

Are you watching the events the Bible tells us to be looking for? First Thessalonians

5, verse 1 through 6 says this, but concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have

no need that I should write under you. The Apostle Paul knew that it was going to be a while yet before

some of these things took place. So he said, you guys right here that I'm talking to, there's no

need for me to write under you. He says, for you guys know perfectly that the day of the Lord

is going to come as a thief in the night. They didn't understand many of the prophecies, the Old

Testament prophecies. They couldn't. And so to them, they just didn't know. And the

Apostle Paul said in verse 3, for when they shall say peace and safety, then sudden destruction

comes upon them as labor pains upon a pregnant woman, and they shall not escape.

But verse four says this, and the apostle Paul is talking to us.

He says, but you, brethren, are not in darkness that that day would overtake you as a thief.

You are all sons of the light and sons of the day.

We are not of the night or of the darkness. Then he says this. This is 1st Thessalonians 5

verse 6. Therefore let us not sleep. In other words, let us not just amble through life,

not paying attention to anything. Let us not go through this in a sleep state

as others are doing, but let us watch and be sober. Because you watch these events that are
