My preliminary bottom line is that Rudolf Hex acted on his own initiative. It's quite surprising,

but the evidence suggests that Hitler did not send him to Scotland and the British did not know

he was coming. Hes was a weird guy and he was convinced that supernatural powers were urging him

to make the trip. I also conclude that the evidence points to him proposing a peace plan that

essentially maintained the status quo. Germany would get what it wanted in Europe and Britain would

basically get to keep its naval empire, but we still need to discuss whether the man who flew

to Scotland was Rudolf Hasse at all or whether he was replaced with an imposter. And whoever it was

in housed in Schmandau prison, did he commit suicide in 1987 or was he murdered? And if so,

who did it and why? Thus, next time we'll be doing both an identity theft investigation and

a murder investigation. It should be fun.
