Summary

As her mother’s sensitivity to the supernatural seemed to attract strange happenings, Chelsea’s childhood home became a hotspot for eerie activity—growling dogs, shadowy corners, and even a 1700s-era woman carrying water pails who disappeared into thin air. But it’s the moment her name was shouted into her ear, with no one around, that continues to send shivers down her spine. Was it all connected?

The one actually involves me.

Well, they both involve me, but one actually happened to me,

she grew up in Cumberland, Maryland.

0:57.1

And it's like one of the oldest towns in Maryland.

1:05.1

But she worked at a really old church, and the offices were located beneath the church itself.

1:10.4

And she worked with documents, and I think she did some of their financial stuff.

1:19.3

But she would tell me growing up that as she would leave for the night,

1:26.2

she'd be the last one leave and she'd go to lock up and lights or machinery would turn back on.

1:35.9

But anyway, so this story takes place, I think I was nine, eight or nine, I think.

1:39.6

Maybe seven.

1:51.2

But she had just separated from her second husband and so we moved to Y Mills in Maryland,

2:03.7

which is also another old town. And the apartment that we rented was a part of, there were two apartments, two-story apartments in this building. It had been converted, the owner told us. I think they said it was a tavern at one point,

2:10.4

like back in the old days. There was a one-room schoolhouse that was located right next to it,

2:16.7

and the oldest oak tree in Maryland was located right outside of this, right in between this apartment building and the old schoolhouse.
