A cute guy from a rock band sent me an email message out of the blue.

We had a friend in common, and he saw me seeing Christmas wrapping by the waitresses one night in Brooklyn at karaoke.

He wanted to say hi, he wrote, but was unshaven at the time and didn't want to make a bad impression.

So far so good.

He was certainly handsome, which I discovered thanks to Google.
