Day four, Florida State practice. We just finished talking to Mike Norvel and a couple of the players, Luke Petibon.

Pettibon or Petibone?

Petibone? Probably Petibone, but I kind of like Petibon.

Petibon might be it. Richie, Petibone. I think it's Petibone.

We'll ask him next time. We didn't ask him that this time. We did talk to him a lot of good questions and answers, mostly good answers from Luke after practice today.

Earl Little as well.

And then Earl Little, who likely would be a starting safety.

So possibly two new starters on this Florida State football team.

We also spoke to Mike Norvell.

He talked about today's practice, and it sounded like the offense had a really good start to the day,

but then the defense responded and had a really good day as well, which is probably what you want to see.

Yeah. It seemed like Mike Norvell seemed to be in a pretty good place, four days into spring practice.

He did.

You know, it's always the crux of these things.

It's always the problem is if the offense does something well, well, it came at the expense

of your defense.

But it did sound like the offense started the day with some explosive plays, the defense. As he said, responded well, and it was to my question about just the competitive spirit of the team.

Like, what's the competitive spirit of the team right now through four practices?

Can you tell?

Can you even tell through four spring practices?

So when you asked that question, I guess you're thinking that it wasn't very good last year?

I'm thinking I could have used a little bit more.
