And it was like an amazing team of people who were trying to build this new language and trying to understand all the out of sequences and talking to the actors about where their technical turns are because they had their own level.

Like, you know, we had a week of rehearsal with Diego and Sienna to get some of the conversation out of the way because there was so much conversation to be had.

Today's episode takes us behind the scenes of director Tara Mealy's new romance drama, Wander Darkly.

The film follows a couple who, shortly after becoming parents, experience a disaster that takes

them on a surreal and disorienting journey through both their past and an uncertain future.

In addition to Wander Darkly, Ms. Mealy's other directorial credits include

the feature films Starving in Suburbia, Gone Missing, and The Lake Effect, the movie

for Television Lost Boy, and episodes of the series Batwoman, Arrow, and Hawaii Five-O.

Ms. Mealy spoke with fellow director Rachel Lee Goldenberg about filming

Hi, Tara.

I'm Rachel. I am just so excited to be doing this. I watched the movie and then I texted you and I was thinking,

oh, I have so many questions for Tara and then you asked me to do this.

And so now I just get, this is just my chance to ask all the questions that I selfishly wanted

to ask, but we can make other people watch us do it.
