I'm Mark Hitchcock.

And this week marked the end, as many of you know, of Roche Hashanah.

And Roche Hashanah, many of you know this as well, means the first or the head of the year.

It's the Jewish New Year.

It's the Feast of Trumpets.

It falls on the first day of Tishri on the Hebrew calendar.

And it's called the Feast of Trumpets because one of the things that happens

during this festival known as Roche-Shanah is the blowing of the Shafar, the ram's horn. But this

Rocha Shana begins 10 days of awe that the Jewish call this, to lead up to the day of

atonement, the most solemn day on the Jewish year, which is Yom Kippur.

Clearly, the Feast of Trumpets, like all the other Jewish feast, is filled with prophetic
