been looking forward to this conversation. We are joined by a dear friend, a long time national security analyst, a real

legend in the in the nuclear policy field, Joe Cerncioni. Joe welcome.

Well I thank you very much John it's a pleasure to be. and Cheugam, Wright, Drive, Fly at the same time.

He's been on a number of different podcasts.

But I've known Joe now, I was thinking this morning,

32 years I've known you, Joe.

And Joe has been one of the most impactful, prolific, insightful analysts on nuclear policy and national security over my career.

And so when we were trying to was a perfect opportunity for today my mind

both my mind often goes to Joe but it was a perfect opportunity for several reasons

one Heather's out of town and so she can't join you today.

It doesn't matter because she wouldn't get a word in edge-wise anyway.

And I also want to point out that we've fallen short today.

We are two white guys on this podcast, and that's not the standard we try to set.
