A while ago, when I used to do the Visigoth bedtime stories, I read a short story by Isaac Asimov, called The Winnowing, written in 1975.

And it's one of these cases, once again, where science fiction is not science fiction whatsoever.

I don't know if Asimov was on the inside for this, and if he was fine, did that necessarily

mean he agree with it, the traconian measures that were forwarded in the short story, but

be that as it may, still, I think it bears being re-read.

It's a very short story.

And the reason I'm doing this is mainly because what I think you'll see is this.

We've already had our oil shortage, and we're going to have, you know, more, of course, and probably forever.

And this has been going on, obviously, since 73.

But we're also going to move into an energy shortage, which I got something here, which I printed it out from MSN.

We're getting the first warnings, you know, the shots across our bow.

And it says the war for your electric bill, private equity buyout funds are targeting electric power companies and deals that generate massive debt,

stop the building of better plants and jack up rates.

They take the profits and stick consumers with the cost.

I'm going to go on with this some other time, but not right now.

The thing is, again, once you get privatization of what has been public,

that would be utilities.

Most crucial, all of that would be utilities most crucial all of us

would be gas electric and sewage and water they're all going to be shorted except for the sewage

that'll always be big and so and then that's one of the plans. I mean,

there'll always be a reason for it,

but you're going to be shorted,
