Thoughts on Mike Vrable in the Patriots Hall of Fame and not Bill Parcells.

Well, so look, I think Parcells should be in.

I think the fact that he's not in is a joke, really.

Again, he was a, you know, I'll use the word pioneer in in bringing football back here

this is probably not the right word but he would it started there he should be in

Vrable's not a bad choice though oh I think Vrable's a great choice yes he is he's a great

choice is right I mean like you know and I when I when I saw the, the Patriots put out this morning of Robert Kraft speaking to Vrable via Zoom, giving him the news, like, and they were showing some highlights and stills of Vrable's career. He really was the consummate patriot. I mean, he did everything that they asked on defense. He did it well. He played tight end when they needed him, too.

He was a winning player.

He was a leader with an FU mentality.

Like, in a lot of ways, I would even sort of say he was kind of to the defense in some ways what Brady was to the offense.

I really think in his day it was a little more Brucey and Rodney Harrison.

But go ahead. I mean, they had a bunch of big swing and schmensers on defense. William McGuinness was one of those guys. They had a, you know, a handful of guys, excellent one, guys that walked it, talked it, you know, the whole thing. And he was one of them. Like he was one of them. And, you know, look, I know he was, looked at as more of a role player. He was more than that. I think, you know, you have a more intimate knowledge and view of it than I do. But he was a great patriot. Great patriot. One of my favorite. Yeah, a badass. And deserving to go in, you couldn't go wrong with any of the three options. but I still would have went with Parcells because Parcells made them relevant. So my only follow-up take, I sort of mentioned it yesterday, is like, I'd say it's to all Hall of Fame, especially the Baseball Hall of Fame. It's like, what do you want your Hall of Fame to be? You know, the numbers and the stats compared to this guy, is that what it's just about? Because that's what it feels like it's just about in baseball. Craig Bizio had these stats versus this guy in that time and this guy's stats. Who was the last guy that got it? And it wasn't Bizio just this last year. Oh, not Baines, some other hack. You got to give me a minute. Who was it? Roland.
