Summary

Guns were involved in three out of every four homicides in 2020, and 2021 is shaping up to be deadly, too. According to the Gun Violence Archive, from January 1st to September 15th of this year, more than 14,000 people died from gun violence in the U.S. Moms Demand Action founder, Shannon Watts, joined us to discuss Demand a Seat. 0:48.5	But first, we're going to focus on people working to stop gun violence at the electoral

0:53.7	And just the past few days, there have been a number of tragic events early yesterday morning,
0:58.1	for example, more than a dozen people were injured and one woman died after a shooting
1:02.5	at a bar in St. Paul, Minnesota.
1:05.0	In last week, an 18-year-old opened fire at a high school in Arlington, Texas.
1:10.1	Four people were injured with one of them, a 15-year-old in critical condition.
1:14.3	That is really awful.
1:16.1	Never stops being awful news.
1:18.1	Very devastating.
