podcast. And Vikings podcasts always do well. It's endlessly fascinating. And they're

particularly fascinating when we're being told all about Vikings by Katja and you've heard

her here before. She's a bio-archaeologist. She uses cutting edge forensic techniques to

uncover more about this group of people that we call Vikings. Who were they? What do they

want? What were they doing? And where? Were they going? She's just written a wonderful

new book called River Kings. And it's giving us a new history of the Vikings and how they

emerge from Scandinavia and tapped not into just life in Britain and Ireland, but all

the way into Central Asia and connected themselves, plugged themselves in to that super highway

at the time, the Silk Roads. It's great talking to Kat. Kat has been on the podcast many

times before, talking about Vikings, but also Easter Island weirdly. She and I are going

to go on a road trip, as soon as this lockdown ends and we're going to look for some Viking

sites in England, hopefully Scotland as well. So that will be something that forward to.
